So I am thinking about starting a new blog, or starting to use this one more. I would potentially like this blog to be friends-only (I'm still noodling on that), and I'd like more of my RL friends to be able to read it, most of whom do not have LJ. I have found out, though, that there's a process through which non-LJ users can see my friends-only

I of course would love to read more about what's going on in your life via a blog. I could either finally make the leap and create an LJ account, or you can create blogs on blogspot that you invite people to view (so they're not just open to the public), and invited viewers log on using their google/gmail accounts...

Wouldn't the non-members-having-to-create-an-ID problem happen wherever you decided to blog?

Yes, which is the problem. So I guess I'm semi-trying to figure out who's more likely to read anyway, and cater to them. Also, since I'm away from most of my RL family/friends, I kind of want something they'd be more likely to look at. But I guess I can't have my cake and eat it, too! Maybe I can crosspost? Not sure, but thanks for the input.

Also... we should have more Jade-updates in LJ-land. :)

A friend of mine sends out regular e-mail updates rather than blogging -- maybe an idea for you?
