Last night at Las there was a conversation about societies pressure on women to be thin.  Ok, the whole conversation wasn't about that but that was one of the points we touched upon.  Well, today I stumbled onto America's Next Top Model and I watched a bit of it.  They have two plus sized models on the show.  I found out that one of the "plus size

Yeah, that's supermodel standards for ya. Size 8 is plus-size for a supermodel. For regular models, most agencies say size 10 or 12 as their lowest level for a plus-size model (I know this 'cause I was checking for myself at one point). While stores mostly start at 14 for plus-size, but some start at 12.

Of course, the two plus-size ones on Top Model are probably talking pants or dress size, but they're obviously very plus-size on top. :-P

I don't know if you've seen the movie, "The Devil Wears Prada," but in it Anne Hathaway's character tells one of the people at the fashion magazine that she's a size 6, and he says "Size 6 is the new 14." Sad, but true in the fashion world.

Oh my gosh, yes I remember hearing that line and thinking, what the crap? I seriously think they are going to have to start having negative sizes pretty soon. It's going to be a sad day when 0 becomes the new plus size.

I already heard someone seriously talking about wearing a negative size. I'm not sure what brand it was, though.

That's crazy. I'm a size 10, but never thought of myself as plus size. I've been a little self-concious about my body lately, but I think it's because it's spring time and all the little chicky-doo's are busting out the short shorts and well... mine don't fit anymore.

I miss LaS. The people and the food... mmm.. chicken garcia.
