Frustration ensues

I am sad.  I wish that there weren't so many people living in poverty and starving.  Or having no freedoms at all and living in war torn nations or having awful diseases ravage their countries.  I have a hard time with how rich the US is and I feel like there has got to be so much we can do.  But I don't know what.  Why can't some of our millions ( Read more... )

Mother Teresa became a nun in 1928 when she left Yugoslavia for Ireland, where she joined the Loreto Sisters of Dublin. Eventually they sent her to Darjeeling, and that's where she made her first vows as a nun, and the area really impacted her. Mother Teresa and her nuns would set up hospitals and got medical attention to so many people that didn't even know what medical attention was. They also set up houses for the dying, and would often carry a dying person straight from the street to the deathbed they'd provide for them. And so many of those people died smiling and saying, "Thank You," simply for caring ( ... )
