Beautiful weather for camping at Allegany this past weekend. Spent it with family and roommates of my brother (who coordinated the event). This was the first time in years that we had gone camping at all (most recently was tent camping in New Hampshire in '00, but that was disastrous), and the first time since like '98 or '99 that we had gone to ( Read more... )

we stayed there all last week, sat - sat. got wet went on many adventures. the Macintosh Trail with pleanty of hot water in the potty there were older cabens there with wood stoves and no electric. we had a cabin with electric heat a stove and a full size fridge. i filled Lily's day with as many activites that we could get in. DR is the tour guide you want to go with

Macintosh... Is that in Quaker? I don't really know much about those, but I guess it's very possible that some of the cabins haven't been updated, mostly because some people don't want there to be electric or gas heat. Heh, and some people don't even like to sleep in cabins, either, and prefer tents. To each his own.

Did it rain there early in the week? We lucked out -- it was gorgeous Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon. I've been to Allegany at least once where it rained the whole weekend we were there.

just popping in to say hi... looks like the trip was fun!! say hi to the gang for me, will ya?

i STILL haven't finished the Pocky! can you believe that? haven't even opened the mousse or the almond crush. impressive, no? and the candle is wonderful. it's still CRAZY hot here, so when it cools down, we'll burn it like crazy. i would still like to pick up one of Red's incense holders, as well as a few of the cotton candy candles... i'll look you up when i'm home. :) take care. xo
