LJ Idol Week 3 - Moment of Bliss

Oct 08, 2008 02:55

Alone, I slip out of my street clothes and stand, nearly nude, on the gritty, tiled floor. I stare in the mirror critically, appraising myself as I imagine a stranger would.

My gaze drops down. ‘Strong shoulders, but look at those flabby arms! Definitely not tank top ( Read more... )

I really, really, really, really, really enjoyed this! (Did I say really enough?) You totally sucked me in with every lap - I think of all the entries I've read so far, this is the one that has engaged me the most, taken me along for the ride and left me with a sappy grin on my face by the end of it.

You go girl!

Yay!
After leaving you cold with my first essay, I am really glad to have redeemed myself :)

I'm not organised enough to have a spreadsheet, but I'm pretty certain I voted for you first time round, so you didn't leave me *that* cold :o)

But I really do think that this is one of the best Bliss entries out there by quite a margin.

You really should learn how - or try anyway - swimming is such a valuable life skill, you know?

I can't tell you how much I love the water - well, I guess I just tried, lol - but it just feels so good.

Thank you, thank you!

I need to get back to the pool this week. I had to miss it yesterday because of a Relay For Life meeting and I have some sinus issues going on, so I am starting to pine for it!

Oh, I want to be swimming right now. Wait, I just was. Or I felt just like I was. Great read, as always!

That icon makes me grin :) This was the closest of mine I could find as far as childhood characters and irreverance, lol!

Thank you for the compliment, A. You are one of my must-reads too, so I love to see you around my journal.

Your writing has a flow that makes it enjoyable to read. Bravo.

Hiya, puppetmaker!

I feel so much more grounded when I get some exercise. I have tried step aerobics, jogging...swimming is by far my favorite. Second only to dancing, and not dance aerobics, but like sweaty club dancing or the joyful, goofy dancing people do at wedding receptions, lol.
