When I was pregnant with my daughter I really thought I was losing my mind. From forgetfulness that exploded exponentially - I’d often have to wash a load of laundry three or four times because I kept forgetting to put it in the dryer - to mood swings that left me screaming at speeding trucks in crosswalks one moment and sobbing into my salad the ( Read more... )

Oh Gods, I know how you felt! I once burst into tears over my cereal because my boyfriend jumped and yelled when I shot him with a water pistol. I sobbed and sobbed for at least 15 minutes. Hormones'll get'cha. :S

This line - I was frustrated, confused...but also hungry and I kinda wanted to eat my "baby." - almost made me spit pepsi all over my computer. Well done! :D

Woot!

I was kinda going for Cracking Up squared - like, when I was pregnant I felt like I was cracking up, but hopefully there were things in my essay that would make other people crack up with laughter :)

When I was pregnant, I went crayfish hunting one day at the lake. When I actually caught one (a big one, too!) I accidentally held it too roughly and cracked its shell. I bawled for the rest of the afternoon about how for my own sick, twisted pleasure, I had become a murderer . I didn't go hunting crayfish again till years later with my son. LOL

I enjoyed and identify with this. Good entry!

This isn't something I would be experiencing in my life, but I can't imagine not being able to eat pizza due to heartburn. I love pizza. The vivid imagination you had were certianly wild, and I can see how anyone could crack up when they are not prepared for having children.

heh "mom brain" - I relate.

Excellent entry. Engaging from the first line on and those dreams were wild (this coming from a dream analyst). Great job with this week's topic! : )
