LJ Idol Week 25 - Stuck With Luddites Again

Mar 17, 2009 18:35

Last week, I died.

While my children slept, wrapped in fluffy, soft dreams of cotton candy innocence, I invited a man into my home. A man who wasn’t my husband. Leery at first to take the risk, I had asked him not to come over several times, but finally acquiesced, expecting nothing more than some polite companionship on a lonely evening. My ( Read more... )

TY! I was just trying to imagine, in my mother's mind, where she'd get the idea my husband might get that crazy!

I had to imagine what might make him mad enough to commit a "crime of passion" and then, even had to imagine a gun for him, since he doesn't have one, lol!

Thank you for the compliment :)

Man. For a second I was worried. Not that you died, but that someone else was getting the hot librarian make out action. Someone who was not me.

Oh, SHT, you KNOW you are the only man I'd risk getting shot over.

And it wasn't terribly librarian-like to be making out on the couch. We usually do it...between the covers...lol!

Another librarianism that cracks me up I saw on a shirt - it had two 1950's looking advert folks, male and female, holding martinis as the pic.

It said "Librarians...More LUSH than SHUSH." LOL. Definitely THIS librarian anyhow.

Are YOU on FB, SHT? (I won't bug you too much - I just wanna quietly stalk you and drool over your pics.)

OK your intro had me scared for a minute! hahahahhaa. Great entry and I know what you mean. My mother lives right down the street and I definitely talk more to my online friends in a day than I do her in a month!

Never fear! MSM is here!

I am so glad you enjoyed it. I love my mom but sometimes she is pretty difficult to talk to. My real life friends I chat with online, as well as mypurely internet friends kinda buoy me more than her.

Thank you for the compliment too - I love to know you are still reading :)

I almost freaked out for a minute. I like you apporached the topic, and I felt like the way you wrote this can easily captivate the reader to want to keep reading.

Great job, I really liked this.

Thank you so much. Like all of us, I'm sure, when I saw the topic I was like "Wha??" I had no clue where to go with it.

I had three ideas - none of them that REALLY grabbed me, so I just went with the one that seemed most accessible. I was hoping, even if it was deep, that it would be readable :)

Thank you so much for enjoying it!
