And yes, other than a cut on his forehead, he was fine. The doctor said many people who fall asleep at the wheel are o.k. because they are floppy and relaxed when they crash.

I figure, since I have such issues keeping stories short, I need to make them interesting so people don't give up halfway through, lol!

This story is an old one - as in, it happened thirteen years ago, so my life is in a rather different place now, lol, and he and I aren't together any more. That said, my 20th year was full of such change I'd definitely call it one of the defining times in my life.
Things *did* get better. Some dramatic decisions were made, Jay went and stayed with his family in New York for 6 weeks and worked and saved and fixed up his dad's old Blazer. I flew up and joined him and when we drove home we were determined that we wouldn't get to a low place like that again.

Moving in together is such an exciting/crazy time! It's always weird to go from "Ok, we are dating and having fun!" to "Ok, did you pay the power bill and why haven't you washed dishes in two weeks?' LOL!
I dated my husband for two years before we moved in together. When we did it was like "Yay!" My very favorite time of day now is reading together in bed before we go to sleep and the half asleep snuggling when we hit the snooze alarm in the morning.
