I am SHOCKED! I went to bed last night so sad, and since I woke up I've been avoiding logging on here. A few minutes ago I pursed my lips and resignedly signed on and OMG couldn't have been more surprised. Talk about a stay of execution!!!

Seriously though, I'm pretty sure all of the topic thread deadlines have been 8:00 or at most 9:00, and obviously it's better to err on the early side than late. =D

Are voting deadlines at 10? I don't know what I was thinking. Squeezing up against a deadline regardless isn't smart anyway. I much prefer getting things in early!

It's interesting to see which of these I remember; I think about two thirds are familiar to me. :)

I like Minecraft, because it gives you a sense of what the world might look like beyond the windows without having to take enough medication to survive all the plants. But some days it's nice to see the plants in person.

Yeah - I always see kids in the back of minivans with the dvd player on, and I think, "When do they get to be bored and think their thoughts?"

It's so sad. This is one of the reasons we limited our kids video/electronics time.

You have to learn to deal with boredom, as a coping skill. And you have to have that open-ended time to let your mind winder to new places.
