It's 35C outside today and 33 in the mother fucking staffroom and STILL they haven't turned the fucking air conditioning on! I'm too bloody hot to do anything! I'm seriously considering refusing to come into work until they start turning it on. Do you think I can get away with it ( Read more... )

Actually you're missing the entire point which is that although we may physically have the machines in the room, they are NEVER EVER turned on. That's what bugs me so much. If they weren't there, there's not much you could do, but having them and not using them is just fucking ridiculous.

Just for reference (particularly for the beach party), I have no air conditioning in my apartment either. Sorry.

i feel like i'm destined to ming this wkend regardless, maybe if everyone is sweaty and nasty i'll look better in comparison!

and why not turn on the ac yourself? say you misheard someone in japanese..."i'm sorry, i thought you said it's bloody hot put the goddamn ac on."

I know what you mean. I feel like I'm destined to ming for the rest of my time in Japan.

Not a bad idea about turning the AC on myself. The only problem is, I don't know how to. I've never worked out how to use them annd I can't read the buttons properly. Never mind. I brought my electric table fan in today instead.
