I'm in trouble again, aren't I.
So, last weekend, there was this con thing.
Nan and Kass are just rockstars, guys. As far as I could tell, everything went so smoothly and was so fun and lovely and low-key, and I know how hard they (and the rest of the con comm) worked, and I just hope they know how appreciated it was.
I'm not going to do a real writeup or anything, because, well. Y'all saw me; I had a Coors Light can in my hand pretty much the whole damn time, and I'm shit with names when I'm sober. But I wanted to mention a couple of people it was just a blast to meet, and please please feel free to comment to this post and remind me if I met you, too!
First, annalazarus, the Statler to my Waldorf, the Bud Light to my Coors. Like we said, it didn't seem like meeting in person would match our expectations, but hell if it didn't. Same to miss magickly, the cutest thing to ever take my drunk ass home in a cab. They are both just darling, and maybe sometime this universe they'll forgive me for buying random guys drinks and making them talk to them even though we're all taken. What?
And along with Anna, my RPS panel peeps: phaballa and tjournal, who are darling and clever and hopefully not too embarrassed at having shared a table with me. Come on. Chad! Community service! Is there anything better? (And if anyone has pictures of our excellent visual aids from the panel, hook a sister up?)
And then queenbitter, who I actually think I've known longer than anyone else in fandom, since pre-LJ popslash days (!!!!). And girls I was so excited to meet, like mcee and sevenfists. And classy ladies I was super-excited to meet but didn't get to talk to nearly enough, like thisisbone and sargraf. And then there are the hookers I didn't know before but now have had many, many drinks with, so they're stuck with my ass, like femmenerd and coiledsoul. And my DC-area girls, and so so many others.
(And that's not even counting all the people I'd met before, like my roomies innie_darling and apetslife, and cathybites and ink_stain, and antheia and stone_princess and ladyjaida, and wow, I'm just spoiled.) The whole thing was a blast, and I cannot recommend it highly enough to the rest of you who can make it next year.
And, as promised. I've never vidded before, and really don't plan on doing so again, because that shit is hard, yo. And I KNOW this is not fancy or even really executed all that well. But it makes me laugh.
