So the last two days have been very satisfying. I've learned that my hostel lies in a part of town that was a haven for counter-culture, student, and artist types during the Communist regime, which explains the look of the area, and apparently it's cleaned up a lot recently, so I feel a lot safer here. The hostel is still kinda sketchy, though. I
