We Wear the Mask

We wear the mask that grins and lies,
It hides our cheeks and shades our eyes,--
This debt we pay to human guile;
With torn and bleeding hearts we smile,
And mouth with myriad subtleties.

Why should the world be overwise,
In counting all our tears and sighs?
Nay, let them only see us, while
We wear the mask.

Whoa there, tiger! I called you back and left you a voicemail like two weeks ago.
Ah well, I'll call you either tomorrow or the next day. The coffee shop where I work is closing, so I'm gonna have LOADS of free time in less than a week. No more 50-hour weeks for me! Woot!! I will miss the money though...
