Rant: To Be or Not To Be...

Do I...just have high expectations when I'm looking for fanfiction on FF.Net? Because I seriously don't know anymore. OTL Nothing I ever find seems to pique my interest in a good way. That being said, maybe it's only because I lurk (and write) between 1-2 major fandoms and then sometimes lurk some of the smaller fandoms that I like. Another reason

Uh, yeah, I think I can't agree more! I don't think I've been seeing as much good fanfics as I used to back when I was new to ff.net. The only good stories I could find are the ones I've already read, or the ones that are not complete yet (sorry but it sort of irritates me when I read uncomplete fanfics. I hate the patience that I have to endure everytime I have to wait on something really good!) Well, I think that's a bit hypocrite of me (since I myself havent updated my own fics. lol) but yeah, as I was saying, I agree to your post.

I'm afraid that people might have this loss for good taste and have the tendency to overrate stories that are not really as good as they claim them to be. I find that sad because standards will be degraded, and expectations would be, well, might end up useless for the development of the writers.

Here's me hoping in the flourish of fandom literature!
