Now that was an original take on the Card!verse or should I call it Spades!verse, because these stories usually focus on Arthur and Alfred. Gilbert is always the Joker too, heh. Anyway, having Peter be the next Joker is certainly a novel concept, as is having the Joker card be a useful/neutral asset to all four kingdoms. This is shaping up to be a pretty interesting universe. Mind you, I get that this is a one-shot, however you outlined Peter's future pretty well and even had him interact with Gilbert at the end to bring things to a nice conclusion. Thanks so much for the long review. :3 I'm glad you enjoyed Alfred and Arthur's different approach to parenting, I tried to get enough moments in there that illustrated how different and similar they were. This was actually done for Secret Santa, but I got the pinch hit late so it didn't get posted until Sweethearts Week, haha. OTL Thanks again!

This was perfect. Such an innovative plot and the relationship between all the characters was faultless.

This was an amazing, sweet and tender coming of age story. The way you described the parenting was very well done.

I give you all of my praise.
