as ashamed as i am to admit it sometimes, i am con too. i strongly dislike the "force-feed" and cultish style of the Catholic church. It has become a little too much for me. I disagreed with many many aspects of the religion. so u being an outsider doesnt differ much from ym opinion as a born and raised catholic.... any other questions or remarks? bring 'em on i am strongly opinionated

Nah I totally respect your opinion Kat. I can see where you're coming from. I however am Pro ACT. My friend Consuelo is not spiritual, but she went anyway and said she had fun. ACTs is not a brain washing technique used by the Catholic Church. All who enroll do so by their own FREE will. No one is forcing them. By doing so I hope they realize that ACTs is not trying to recruit members to join the Catholic church but rather trying to help them find their spirituality (whether that lies with God, Christianity, or another religion). Consuelo still came back hating the Catholic faith. Everyone there understood that and didn't force her to do anything she didn't want to. Should you enroll and are against the Catholic faith, tell them. Tell someone involved in organizing the retreat (preferably not a nun.... I strongly advise doing so). Just enter with an open mind. Understand they're not there to try and make your life a living hell. After all, if you do find yourself in an ACTs retreat remember... you enrolled yourself in it. Please don't ( ... )

sorry but i have to say, just because someone goes of their own free will does not mean its NOT brain washing, it just means they went not knowing of it. like watching t.v., people watch it of their own free will but commercials can brainwash you into thinking somethings cool.

I agree with juday0_0. Going on your own free will doesn't stop you from being brainwashed. After all, no one is forced to join a cult :3
