I've recently conversed with a divine lady who's spoken to someone who claims responsibility for bringing us here.According to the scrolls from Kusagakure, Izanagi is the god of the sky and all things good and right. He is also a prominent part of this world's creation myth

I don't know. This whole thing seems a little grade-school for one of the big shots.

Do try to keep in mind that being any given god and saying that you are that god are two very different things. If I had a yen for every time I fooled some mortal into thinking I was a goddess of something or another, I would... probably be able to buy lunch at a reasonably priced establishment.

You're right, of course. I've met someone who falsely claimed to be Kami-sama as well. However, it's new information and at least someone, somewhere has offered an explanation for us being here, nonsensical or not.

Oh, it's certainly interesting. Whether it's real or not, that someone is claiming to be Izanagi tells us something.

Not really sure what, yet, but it's bound to be something fun.

Did the scrolls you read say anything else about Izanagi? I learned a little bit about the creation myth in Academy, but not much.

Nothing that seems really relevant, but you're free to look them over you'd like. I've no reason to keep that sort of thing a secret, unlike your Hokage-same.

It's hard to believe, even if it is true. I've spoken to Urd-san, and she did mention gods, but... Even still, gods were only myth in the world that we came from. If there really are gods here -- and if they're the reason that we're here as well -- it's difficult to understand why they would've brought us here and placed us in an environment like this, in the first place...

Though, I highly doubt it's because they wanted us to wage war.

Assuming there are gods - or powerful beings pretending to be gods - I'm sure this little scuffle of ours is going to garner some attention.

And we'll get to test Pain-san's theory about the gods being on his side about all this.

[She pauses, contemplating whether she'd like to leave or not. Their house is very comfortable. The Hitomis are irritating, but they make some things easier for her. She feels less shy. It surprises her a little, the sudden sense that maybe she does not want to leave.]

It's good that you are pursing this, Hakkai-san. Everyone in Akatsuki and Konoha is completely preoccupied with this war.

I wonder if that is our mistake, in the end.

I think it's fair also for me to tell you directly. I will be fighting alongside my husband. He is the most important thing in the world to me. Questions of morality come second.

The truth is Hakkai-san, I hope we can remain friends. I enjoy your company, and I think Chitose will as well. You are welcome in my life as a friend, no matter what happens in this war.

But I cannot follow your path.

I stand with my husband. By choice, and by faith as well. I love him and I believe in him. Someday, maybe we will all get along. But that day is not today.

Sex dreams about Kakashi are not a regular occurrence! If you'll recall, two thirds of the people in my sex dreams weren't Kakashi at all! [ Humph. That'll teach him.

[ And as for Anko's sex dreams, he's kind enough not to comment. ]

I've no idea why the so-called god of all things good would want us here, but, it's more information than had before.

That's...kind of crazy.

[ Anko's never really believed in a higher power. Too many terrible things happen. The fact that, apparently, these higher powers are alive and well and screwing with their lives kind of pisses her off. ]

Not the craziest thing I've ever dealt with. [ Laughs as if that's some sort of assurance. ]

I really would like to know more, though.
