As you may have heard, I am Bear Aware, but sadly Elk Ignorant.

It sounds like a great project, but fer goodness sake, be careful out there!

Ha!! Yes, if I ever need pissed-off ducks in my stock library, I can definitely take her. HNA!!

I was not aware of your Bear Awareness. But I will keep this in mind for future reference. Are there a lot of bears in Scotland? I had no idea. What kind of wildlife DO you have out there, besides hares, foxes, and red deer?

I've had cause to lament the poor selection of dangerous wildlife here in the past. All our wolves, bears and elk are long dead. We have a poisonous snake called the adder, but no-one has been killed by one of them in at least twenty years.

Our largest creature is the (very cute) Highland Cow, but despite lethal-looking horns, they're scared of their own shadows.

Apparently one of the leading causes of animal-related injuries or deaths in this country is tripping over dogs or cats.

Highland cattle have become very popular in the Northwest U.S. lately as pets and oddities. They are pretty damn cute. Do they live wild over there, or are they strictly domestic critters?
