Your Mommy Kills Animals, a "comic book" (really just a flier with a cover) aimed at kids, produced by the biggest douchebags on the face of the Earth, PETA ( Read more... )

Your mommy stomps on a kitty's head and then rips its fur off! It's true! PETA says so!!

for the record, the cover illustration is totally inaccurate. there is no bloody knifing and splurting and such when harvesting fur.... the blood ruins it! rather, the skin is sliced open near the butt and then peeled off the animal like a gruesome banana (except not in strips) - leaving the corpse looking like the one in the last picture.

*sigh* silly PETA, getting their facts wrong to make a point!

I know. But, well, PETA will euthanize perfectly adoptable pets before they're even a mile away from the animal shelter where they procured the animals under the guise of "helping to find them adoptive homes" in their roving death-vans, yet they will protest kill shelters at the same time. I wouldn't hate them so very much if they weren't such fucking hypocrites.

The Penn & Teller episode about PETA really did a lot of damage to their credibility, and then the North Carolina incident from 2005 was a pretty fatal blow as well. Now when you google PETA, you get their own web site first, and then nothing but a few pages of information about all the crazy, backwards, evil shit they pull. Here's to cable television! Let's hope the FCC never gets its evil, stinking claws into the last bastion of free speech in the media!

Freaking hilarious! I also was surprised that the focus seemed to be EXCLUSIVELY on killing-animals-for-fur-coats rather than killing-animals-to-eat-them. How many of our mommies traipse around town in fur coats? Seriously? As opposed to how many families consume meat? Most kids reading this would probably say, "But MY mommy doesn't WEAR a fur coat," and that would be the end of it. PETA didn't even bother to make the stretch to leather shoes and belts, and since it's a cartoon, when the kid DOES say that mom doesn't wear fur so it's ok, they can't bring up subsequent arguments about leather and meat. Just seems really stupid, even for PETA.

Of course, any PETA jerk trying to hand this to my little siblings would've learned a thing or two from me, just like the Jehovah's Witnesses I threw off the porch (not literally, not physically - I yelled at them and slammed the door on them) when they tried to give lie-filled pamphlets to my little sister when we were kids. You want to talk about lions? I'll give you LIONS!

Apparently the whole point of this particular pamphlet was that weirdo PETA people would wait outside ballets and shows around Christmastime, when families were all dressed up to go to fancy places, and stuff them into the hands of kids whose mothers were actually wearing fur right then and there. Presumably because they couldn't quite get away with dousing the families with buckets of red paint.
