I don't think I'm very good at it. That's why I'm not sure if I like it or not.

that's sort of the point i was making, BUT, i am not 40 either, so i think your representation is excellent for someone who doesn't really know their subject matter. as i said, the story is intriguing, but i think that it is hard to write sincereley about something one has never experienced. keep creating though; the more ideas, the better.
