Specimen cups are really leaky. Every time I close one that has some chemical in it I end up spilling a bunch on my gloves/lab coat. Why are they like this? They can make all kinds of jars that never leak, but not specimen cups, they never fail to leak. I'm not exactly sure why, but your post reminded me of this funny clip from The Office.

Anyhow, I hope your still working with rats, 'cause that other stuff does sound pretty gross.
