I've only been here for a few months and already I've seen the school's population suffer hallucinations, be turned into animals, and be tricked into thinking they were poisoned. Never a dull moment around here, huh? I think I'm going to stick to cooking my own meals for just a little while.

I've finally started to recruit for the MSF. If there's no way of sending them back to Mother Base, then perhaps there's no choice but to build the entire thing up from scratch again. It was a lot easier when you already had a group of soldiers following you, Boss. Out here it's just a bunch of kids. But I guess we've got to start somewhere.

From what I've been reading on the internet - that's a global network linked by computers, available to anyone in the world - there's less need for soldiers with field experience. Won't be much longer before people like you and I - those who can only fight - are obsolete in most parts of the world. I can't say I like it too much, but I always knew times would change. What we really need now is scientists, which this school seems to be full of. Programmers, roboticists, computer analysts... It's a good thing Huey ended up here. He'll be really useful in that department.

It's going to be a long time before we have enough money for our own base of operations. But the great thing about Smash Academy is that it's already got training facilities. The Stadium can be anything from a shooting range to a holographic environment for practicing sneaking and maneuvering in different situations. There are classes on cooking, weapon engineering and usage, and war tactics. It's the perfect place to start over.

Maybe you'll be able to come see it for yourself one day. The new MSF needs a leader, after all.
