About the house/ room:
We live in a large, three bedroom flat on the top story of a 1800's Victorian located on the East side of Lake Merrit. It is behind the Parkway Theater, and close to grocery stores, laundry mats (no in-house laundry), restaurants, etc. We are a ten minute walk to the lake/ to the Bart station (lake merrit bart), and a block away from major bus lines. We have two living rooms (one of which is an art space), and a spacious kitchen leading out to a porch and a large backyard that we share with the downstairs neighbors (who are the most awesome people youll meet). There is lots of street parking, no permit required. We share wireless ATT and PG&E, which is about $10-20 total a month per person. We have a pretty full house, so not TOO much extra furniture please. unfortunatly there is only one bathroom... but fortunatly your bedroom is connected to it AND.. we dont spend that much time in there. You will have 2 closets. Hopefully no one allergic to cats, we have two very friendly bengal cats who dont know the meaning of anger. we would rather you not have pets. though some caged animals are ok with us! seeing as we have one of those too.. no its not a reptile or a rodent.

We are two ladies and 1 gent (ftm) so please be queer/ trans-friendly. Two of us are a couple who share a room, and the other has a signficant other who is known to visit one 'n a while. We have fun and like to hang out with eachother (ie. small roomate dinner parties, even a walk to the bar for a game of pool) but aren't big ragers. We would rather have a roomate that communicates with us as we see that it seems to work out better this way. We are 420-friendly and drink socially. Please no hard drugs or heavy drinkers. Cigarette smoking is okay on back porch (2 of us smoke outside only).
We are in our early/mid 20s. One of us is a student at Mills studying Ethnic Studies, one is a full time barista soon to start hair school and the other another full time barista/part time tattoo artist wanting to start school. We try to be politically conscious & active and it would be nice if you were too (no this doesnt mean radical). We are mostly vegetarian, this would be ideal if you were as well but we're flexible. Best of all we are communicative and appreciate each other's company. It would be cool to find folks that are likewise.
