About to embark

In one day I'm taking Evan on his first flight and we are heading to visit my family. I am quite optimistic that it will go well, a 1 1/2 hour flight to Van then a 1hr wait in the airport, finished off with a 20min flight to Nanaimo. I'm hoping Evan doesn't get any ear pain from the change in altitude and I can breastfeed him comfortably...

Good luck on your flight!! I'm always freaking out SO MUCH before we travel, and EVERY TIME L surprises me with how adaptable he can be. Just.. try to let the little things slide and breathe, mama. :D And the at-your-parents'-mercy thing? Euhhhhhh, sympathies, man. Go with the flow? Sleep and laze and bring a stroller/carrier to get out for a lot of walks??? Haha.. have fun, bb.

Your neighbourhood sounds great! It's all new houses? You guys planning to live there a long time? Sounds like E will have built-in friends.. ;o)

I'm going to really try not to stress over any part of this trip, just enjoy bringing E to the Island. I feel very prepared so here's hoping!

Yup all brand new houses in my neighborhood, my street is so new it isn't even on any maps yet! I sure hope we stay in this house a very very very long time. Moving is more than I can handle!
