So I've been playing the violin for about a year and a half now. Some people might think it bloody hilarious that a 34 year old woman would start a new instrument in the first place, let alone the violin, but I was Inspired!!! Inspired, I say!!! Ack! Don't worry about the violin thing! *waves hands frantically* I've been playing since I was about four, and one of the things I learned was that it's not uncommon for a piece to do this little...like, Fourier curve sort of thing (yeah, I hang out with the math majors XD) where the more you practice the worse it gets, and then you leave it alone for a few days or a week, and then you come back and it's just gotten like eight bajillion times better ( ... )

*hugs you bigtime* Thanks so much for the encouragement!! I admit, I overthink things sometimes, I will certainly try to follow your advice though. :) I do hope my hands are better learners than my stupid brain. blah. I just keep thinking that if I can just try a bit harder it will get better but, as my teacher is always telling me, I "have to relax!" So yes, I think I'll get some red wine (well, red wine is good for all ailments!) to help me out with that a little. ;) I was always embarrassingly horrible at math but somehow the Fournier curve was still comforting. lolz! It DOES mean that things will get better, right ( ... )

I love that you took on the violin at 34 - that's awesome!! I am musically ungifted. By a lot. *sigh*

And hee to the french. I won the award in high school for highest grades in French but now I can't even hold a very simple conversation. VERY simple.

lolz! Well, we all have our gifts and your brilliant writing is Most Certainly Appreciated by many!! *hugs you*

Oh really? That's so cool!! Well, maybe in a couple weeks or so when I actually have some vocabulary down we could practice our shitty french together, if you want. I'm sure it'll come back to you no problem!
