There's a not-so-new trend among retailers to market clothing for little girls with a definitive older theme.  Whether it be words emblazoned upon the bottom of tiny pants, shirts that are cut low and aren't nearly long enough to cover little tummies, suggestive phrases written across the chest of shirts, overtly short lengths to shorts and skirts ( Read more... )

when the shorts aren't long enough to cover up the diaper, that should be the first clue.

My daughter will NEVER wear (with my knowledge) suggestive clothing of any type and she will be showered with the understanding of how beautiful she is in modesty.

i so totally agree with this. i see second and third graders wearing clothes at school with words on the bottom. it disgusts me, but it's like the trendy thing now? we have some pretty stupid trends!

I totally agree Jen! Good for you! And I LOVE your new photo icon of Lexi- dressing her up in that was hysterical! Oh- and I promise that when she's old enough for me to take her shopping I'll still be cool Auntie Dana without getting her questionable clothing!
