Glad to hear it. And glad you caught the nod. I think Psych's been at the forefront of my brain because I just really want Sam and Dean to go back to the early days when they were all wacky and cute like Shawn and Gus. But no matter how they change (angst), the Impala will always pwn the Blueberry.
Gripping reading but I really don't like the idea of Dean being someone who would secretly drug his brother! I get that from a story point of view you need both boys with flaws so it's not Good brother Vs Bad brother but that SUCKS! Still, it's not like it's totally out of character for Dean to just take over without consulting anyone when he feels threatened in 1 of the fundamental aspects of his identity (eg: Hunting, Sam, family, Sam, driving, Cas, fighting, Sam ect...) Still loving it. Damej
My beta readers and I talked extensively about the use of drugs - what drugs did Dean give Sam, how often, etc. I thought I could get away with it still being in character if it was only once or twice, and only mild pharmaceuticals, things that people often (mis)use without prescription, like Xanax. For me the choice to include this plot point was to show how desperate Dean was at this point to help Sam from a situation he found untenable. It was, I'll admit, a convenient plot device to get them both "drunk" enough to confess certain things to each other, since in the canon we've seen both down entire bottles without even slurring.
