Officially jobless.
R is "grounded" due to medical treatments assigned by the doc that would make school difficult today.

So, I'm back in contact with cousins I haven't seen since 1985 or that I've seen only at funerals and weddings within the past few decades and I'm going to wrap up into a big warm quilt with the wee princess [who really ( Read more... )

That is frigging ridiculous! Especially given what you've stated as when you've been warned, your explanation that you didn't realise it was a hard and fast rule, and the fact they've decided you're OMGudz Teh Ebil for TEN MINUTES OFF. Egads! The world has ended!!!

I also like how they punish you with five days off.

Really, I know it's hard to be unemployed right now, but I'm with you--if that's their attitude, you're better off outta there.

Thanks :) And!!! I guess one of the girls in the office was told to "watch" me. To see if I was actually coming in at the time I said I was. And she was doing this for a month or more. If, at that time, someone had mentioned that I was not filling out my timesheet the way I should have been, I would have done it differently.

Of course, we started hearing rumors at the beginning of December that two employees would be let go before Christmas. And they were. And then we hear rumors that someone else would be gone shortly after the new year. As soon as this issue was brought to light, I assumed it would be me. And it was...
