All are good quotes ... I based on my own experience I would modify the second somewhat, It is only through making mistakes that we learn, if we do not make mistakes we are standing still. If we keep making the mistake we have not learned the lesson.

Although I realize on re-reading that something similar might have been the actual intent of the statement.

For a first post I like you thinking and will certainly add you.

That one reminds me so much of the "That which doesn't kill us makes us stronger quote" .. which I always thought should be followed by something like this ... "which is good cause it will likely try again"
