Example, most of the people that went to paris with me stayed within their click and made NO outside friends. AFter the paris program ended, i had about two people i would honestly consider my friends. Not very much, but its because we actually went out into the world and tried to meet french people.
Make any sense? If you join the peace corps...okay yea its "westernization" but you can take that opportunity and take as much out of the people that you are helping as they are taking out of you. Make friends with the paisanos! Its only through those relationships that you can truly see what its like on the "other" side.
