This was brilliantly written and absolutely beautiful. You capture Erik's desperation perfectly and Charles' actions afterwards are wonderful. I loved all of the blanket cuddling! My favourite bit has to be when Erik pins Charles to assure himself that he's safe.

I'm glad the feelings came through well, I was worried that Erik's desperation might be confusing, but I guess in the circumstances that would have made ense anyway.

The only reason you should stop looking at prompts is to keep working on Brief Lives. Other than that, you need to never stop writing....period. All of your stories find their ways to my favorites, other stories don't have a chance. I love you.

I have a bit of a soft spot for sicknesses being healed and such. Especially situations like these. Body heat. Nakedness in a platonic way...you know what I mean? And here, just Erik being close to Charles and NEEDING him to be healthy and alright and alive. His desperation was written beautifully. And then when Charles did wake up..I just loved it.

I legitimately loved this; it's angsty and horrifying without veering into gratuitous torture porn territory. The focus is mostly on Erik's angst, and the insight into his POV really helps move things along. I liked the slow crawl towards finding out whether Charles was even going to be all right, and then Erik kind of falling into an exhaustive black-out sleep and just waking up to Charles being there again. It's some lovely introspection, and just a nice story overall.

BTW, you don't know me from Adam, but I am sincerely sympathetic regarding the loss of your job. It seems to be happening to a lot of people I know (both offline and on) lately, and it suuuucks. :(
