I enjoyed the gentle peace of this chapter. It is another kind of revenge on Shaw, I think, that Charles can put Shaw's sexual abuse behind him somewhat, and the comfort and peace in Charles and Erik's relationship is a warm relief after everything!

I like that you have left tatters of angst around the edges, though, like Charles' power still weighing heavily on him. But Erik's horse was so sweet. He seems to have a fondness for making Charles horses in your stories ;-)
