I want to tell you that it took me a minute to figure out who Tony was. The physical description didn't quite do it since I wasn't at all expecting him. And then I recognized him from his manner of speech. I believe that's what we call writing in-character.

I am enjoying the heck out of this, you always have such interesting takes on Charles, this one gives me such a great balance of poor-baby/HOLY-CRAP feelings. Erik is very nicely developed, too.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this continue, also very curious to see how this becomes Erik/Charles when you've stated that Charles isn't attracted to men...

I'm glad it took you a minute to recognize Tony--I'm trying my hand at vague descriptions, trying to let you guys figure it out on your own as Charles starts learning things. I'd actually never written Tony before, so it makes me happy to know he's recognizable :D

I know, Charles is difficult to pin down. I think of him as half-and-half 'you poor thing' and 'you bloody sociopath'. Erik can't quite figure him out--yet.

Oh, I didn't say he wasn't attracted to men--I said he wasn't attracted to Erik specifically at that point in time. This Charles isn't a very sexual creature; remember he had a traumatic childhood where touch a lot of times meant pain. On the other hand, Charles recognizes beauty--he just doesn't immediately associate it with attraction. That'll take a bit of time ;)
