I'm a little intoxicated, I'm not gonna lie- results of drinking with my mother and sister- so I'm not completely sure if I'd manage to spell everything correctly and actually write what I want to write. But, anyway, I watched Atonement after watching X-Men First Class, purely because of James Mcavoy and I fell in love with this movie. Then I read the book and it surely became one of my favourites, so there's no way I could not read this crossover. I admit that Charles fits almost perfectly as Cecilia, I can imagine Erik in Robbie's role, but Raven doing what Briony did? I can't really imagine that. Of course it's a crossover, but still... I don't know something just doesn't really work for me here. Anyway, that doesn't mean I don't like this story in general! I think you're perfectly controlling this non-linear type of narration and I really love stories written like this. The part with Erik running away from Charles, firstly just by hiding his thoughts, then also physically, by making a distance between them. Somehow it suits Erik- ( ... )

I think half-drunk, or entirely-drunk is a perfectly acceptable state of existence on the weekend.

I'd always really liked McAvoy so I had already watched Atonement when it first came out. I subsequently read the book and found the story was nowhere near satisfying for me. No one gets what they deserve, in the end. I felt a little chated by it to be honest, although I guess that makes sense--Cecilia and Robbie were cheated as well.

I couldn't answer to this comment before posting the second part because I didn't want to spoil it for you. I agree Raven's characterization wouldn't fit the role of Briony, in ordinary circumstances. But she served the purpose for this experiment, lol.

Thank you so much for your always thoughful comments! <3

Oh, this is fantastic. The disjointed narrative really works, highlighting how alone and fractured Erik is and how faraway (yet so close) Charles is to him. Great job!

Thank you so much! I was trying it out. My own thoughts were rather disjointed so jumping from one point to the other felt natural.

Thank you *hugs*

Could you linke me to other AtonementAUs you'd recommend? I've only ever read one, and it didn't even include the crime. I'm curious.
