I just had a bitter insect battle with the mother of all Tipulidae around my lightbulb and the corner by my window. Swiping with a book proved ineffective as it seemed to just carry on flying from the most severe of strikes. In the end, the victor was a pair of scissors. Oh man, that was only the beginning as it turned out. Somehow about 30+ mosquitos had infiltrated my lair also, and I had to spend almost 2 hours chasing each and every one down before I was able to get to sleep without being attacked as I was dropping off... O_O

Right now, the kitchen is being taken over by fruit flies. For some reason, the fly strip smothered in an unfathomable amount of dead fruit flies never deteres them...

I hate insects. In addition to their numbers, they're stupid...
