Honestly, I've got to be the laziest grad student this semester. It isn't as if I'm late with any of my assignments or that I'm slacking off in any way. The work-load I was given is quite light, and isn't anything approaching strenuous. I'm not the sort that's terribly proactive and does things way ahead of time. Had an awesome dream though. I'm just glad I remembered one, for once.

Today, I said goodbye to a friend i've had for two years. One of the first ones i've made down here, and one of the closest. It got to the point where we couldn't stand even talking on the phone together.

Why aren't I more down about this?

So, I leave tomorrow. 2800 miles. A good 40 hours of driving, if I go the speed limit (which I most likely will). I could book it there and make it in 4 days, or I could take it easier and do it in 5. It's a long road to drive by yourself. I'm going to be waking up at 7:30, and will be on the road by 8. I'm revising the research paper that I did last year, and getting it ready to submit to a Political Journal, probably something to do with MIT press. If I get my work published, it throws open the door for graduate assistantships wherever I decide to go.
