An hour before sunset, Frank Connell made his way upstairs to the seventh floor and knocked on Mary's door. "Honey, I think we really need to talk," he called out.

"I don't have anything to say to you!" Mary shouted back. So much for not waking up Mike, but just knowing that Frank was on the other side of the door agitated her.

"I'm going to be leaving soon, Mary. This is the last chance for us to talk," said Frank, giving the doorknob a try. It wouldn't do him much good, because the door was locked and dead-bolted in addition to the heavy armoire blocking it.

"I have nothing to say to you except GOOD RIDDANCE!" Mary shouted back, really wishing she had a cigarette right now.
