I saw a pretty good video on MTV the other day. I mean, the video wasn't spectacular, but the song was pretty good. It was the new Embrace video. I'd heard of them before, but never heard them. I was impressed with what I heard, and made a mental note to check them out further ( Read more... )

that is probably my number one grammar pet peeve.
it's like over correcting.
come on people this is an easy one. just say the sentence without the other person. "the sun shines on i" now does that make sense?
people actually convince me that i made this rule up sometimes & look at me like i'm an idiot when i sometimes say "you & me".
sorry about the rant, but yeah, struck a nerve there :D

It's still not the worst grammar I've heard in a song... remember "Saving My Heart" by Yes?

I was about to say that Jon Anderson gets an exemption, but I think He Who Shall Not Be Named wrote that song. Right?

it'd be irritating in speech or writing, but i usually chalk such things up to 'poetic license.' besides, there's far more important things about which to get my panties in a bunch.
