I received my absentee ballot in the mail today. While I know how I'm going to vote for the Presidential, US Senate, and House races, I don't know a thing about the local elections in Montgomery County, MD. Mikulski isn't a bad egg at all and will win without a problem. Her challenger isn't that bad of a guy, but he shouldn't have wasted his time. It will interesting to see what happens when Sarbanes ( called by many the stealth Senator because no one sees him except during an election year) has to run again. It may make for an interesting race. People in Maryland don't stick to party lines when they vote like they used to, he may actually have to talk to people.

We do so enjoy us some Barb around here. She writes back promptly to any correspondance. She favours gay marriage. She is lefty enough for this Socialist-ish Canuckian.

I've always liked Barbara, although I understand she's a nightmare to work for.

Is Connie Morella still around? When I was there, she was quite ok for a Republican.

No, Connie was finally voted out in 2002, after the state redrew her district to allow her to lose to a Democrat at last.
