I'm afraid I'd have to agree. Well, to say that no one would care is probably an exaggeration, but Sweden, or any European country really, isn't *The Western World* in the way that the US is. Thousands of European lives (not to mention African or Asian lives) aren't worth nearly as much as thousands of American lives. That's just the way it seems to be today, at least as far as news coverage goes..
Nothing against Sweden, of course, but those are excellent points.
I mean, when you can create a disturbance in a city the population of which is nearly equal to that of a country (not to mention the importance of NYC in the global sense -- it being an extremely high profile city), why attack the relatively small country?
Not that no one would care, but it certainly wouldn't get al-Qaeda the attention that destroying NYC's WTC did.
