Thank you for giving me some thoughts, because right now I think everyone's pissed off (and not unreasonably so). The way I see Tommy, he's not so much weak and hard as scared and stubborn. But I have to think about the words you used because perhaps I've been missing something in his character. Odd, isn't it, how characters can really start to exist? That's because we make them up out of our own experiences and the experiences of those we know best, I guess. That's certainly true here because Tommy's thoughts are based on someone real whom I know ( ... )
