So I finished up an article and turned it in. And now, to reward myself, I'm back to the fanfic. It's more fun to write. Not that I don't enjoy my nonfiction writing because it's lots of fun. But this is more fun. This time I'm trying to hold off and not make it a work-in-progress; instead I hope to post it all at once. Keep it shorter and more

Gawd! I agree so much with what you said! (I have to admit, you say it so much better than I) I can't wait to read more of you stories! :D

Now I have a question for ya. When you are writing your nonfiction, do you find that you become... lonely? Maybe that's not the right word. Do you understand what I'm asking?

That's a good question. I'm not sure if I understand what you're asking. Most writing is lonely, fiction or nonfiction. My nonfiction involves interviewing people, though, so that part is not at all lonely. OTOH when writing fiction I have a writing group and we like to sit down together to just WRITE. It can be nice to be in a room with others with lots of positive writing energy in the air.

A writing group can be a wonderful thing. We are all supportive of one another. It's not the kind where we're all bitter and have nothing but biting criticism to offer. :)

Yay! Glad to hear you are writing more - and that you find it relaxing. I'm always in awe of people who can write such amazing fic. I loved Broken Open - will definitely re-read it.

Tommy Joe is my favourite at the moment. His tweets are the ones I check out first, then Adam's. He has such a sweetness about him and that weird combination of looking like a twink but being straight. He likes to look pretty but then has a sleeve of scary tats. Yeah he is definitely more vulnerable but Adam seems to be is his protector if past tweets are anything to go by...

Tommy's tweets and tumblr are fascinating and maybe too revealing. I don't know... Adam is very open but Adam seems to be very thick-skinned. Tommy seems like he might know and understand depression, so that makes me feel weirdly protective. :D
