antibiotics might be the only thing that clears it up if it's an ear infection. I tink. I've actually never had a conventional ear infection in my adult life. I used to get what my doctor so proudly called "ear canal irritations". Most pain I've ever had before in my entire life. That's not true.. my pancreas hurt worse. But more pain than you can imagine having in an ear. Such a small space for so much pain. For me, I had to have these simple little ear drops. But definitely go to your doctor, because if it's a convention, normal ear infection, if I remember correctly, antibiotics will make it go away. =)

*hugs* hope you get some sleep at some point today!

Yeah. I think tomorrow's two phone calls will be, "Hi, I can't come to work today, because I can't hear anything" and "Hi, I need to make an appointment today because I can't hear anything."

Wheeeeeeee, antibiotics!

The day after I got out of the hospital recently, I couldn't hear a thing, either, out of my right ear, but it didn't much hurt. But I was very worried that I had a bad sinus infection and all that kind of crap. It cleared up (slowly) on its own and I have been okay since then. But how bizarre that my sinuses would.. I dunno.. react to being home like that?? So I called in and my co-worker was like, "I don't think Bossman expects you in the day after you've been in the hospital." And I said, "Good, cuz I can't hear anything and I'm dizzy. And well, still not feeling well."

Ears are strange. With the balance control and stuff. Who decided to give them that responsibility anyway?

Sweetie, darling, lovey... I used to get ear infections every two weeks as a kid. GO TO A DOCTOR NOW. You need to get antibiotics. Yes. Yes you do. Sick time? Yeah, I know you haven't any. Too bad. 'Cause it's just gonna get worse if you don't go. So? Go!!

Also? Hot compresses. Sitting up. Lots of juice-- in fact, try mixing cranberry juice and ginger ale. Just 'cause. It's what I do when I'm sick. A nurse told my mom to do that when she was in the hospital having me, and it's been the Sick Drink of Choice ever since. Or something.

Hugses. Feel better, luv. :(

Well, the doctor is definitely going to be on the list for tomorrow. I would go today, but they're not open, and I don't feel like dealing with the EmergiCenter, because they're not very...um...deal-with-able.

So yes. Doctor tomorrow.

And if only there was somewhere in my house that I could sleep sitting up...hmm...dammit, we need a recliner.

Thanks for the hugses. :)

Pillows. Snatch pillows from every bed and soft thing in the house. Roll up blankets. You're the sick one, you have the right. Heck, if Gabby would sit still, I'd tell you to use her as a pillow, but heh, I've met Gabby.

You know the right thing...the Doctor.
And a variation on the ginger ale/cranberry juice that I use?
Fresca and cranberry juice (of the light variety).
Refreshing, cuts the acidity of the juice.
Keep hydrated...try to get some rest and FEEL BETTER!
SO sorry for the pain!

I frown on frivilous use of antibiotics, but this is not one of those situations, this really could be serious, get thee to a pharmacy!
