I feel like Huckabee is less electable than Romney and the others, but on the other hand, if something goes horribly wrong, he would be SO MUCH WORSE as president. D:

I'd just like to know WHAT'S WRONG WITH IOWA, seeing as Ron Paul also managed to get 10% of the vote.

I agree that Romney is less bad -- though there are lots of people who think he's plenty bad. We survived him in MA though. Got to hope all parties nominate the least bad -- they *could* become president.

Not a big Paul supporter, huh? I'm seriously considering voting for him on Feb. 5. If he gets 15% in MA, he gets delegates. Love to have a couple of people with anti-war signs inside the Republican Convention.

I assume you haven't looked into Paul very much. He's an actual nut-job. His entire campaign is based on paranoia and the idea that you can turn viral marketing into political power. Have you ever talked with one of his crazy "google 'ron paul'!" guys? Either they actually know nothing about the man or they've been specifically instructed not to reveal anything about his platform - every time you ask them something about policy or his past or whatever, they accuse you of being part of some media conspiracy ( ... )

I don't think it's cheap to point out that several years ago, Paul made a speech saying that all black men are criminals and that he's also made remarks saying that non-white people "don't look American ( ... )

I think he is very much against America violating
its founding principles and acting like an empire.

Actually, here's where you're wrong -- you're assuming that all of the "founding fathers" wanted the same thing. If you're going by Jeffersonian democracy then yes, he wanted small, agrarian democracy -- something America shortly outgrew entirely, leaving it to be an impossible goal.

Hamilton, on the other hand, was all for empire and glory. He wanted big government spread out across our vast nation and beyond -- he wanted growth. The federalists were worried about majority tyranny, and having a larger nation helped to prevent this because the more people you have, the more opinions you have, the more compromise you need to get anything done. Faction weakens majority tyranny. (Federalist 10 ( ... )
