Wasn't that awful? I used to take the Green D line home from work. The Globe had an article about the crash this morning that detailed all the recent T issues--most of them (and all the serious ones) were on the Green Line.
Y'know, I think a lot of the reason for these repeated accidents and whatnot are due to trying to do the same work that the MBTA has been doing with less money. It's basically the same thing that happened with NASA in the late '90s when they instituted their "Better, faster, cheaper" program.
I just hope there's going to be a corrective measure here and possibly a cleaning of house, since the MBTA has got to be one of the most poorly-managed transportation systems in the country.
The operator of the second train was killed. The Globe didn't have much information about other people injured but it said that nothing else was life-threatening.

The NTSB is going to investigate the crash; hopefully they'll investigate the entire system too.
