I had originally sat down to do this last night, but I lost motivation five minutes in. Oddly enough, it took a bowl of miso soup to get me into it. Just because I had something finally worth reporting.
First: the soup. I ate my first meal today at 3:30 pm. I didn't wake up late or anything like that, but I share my house with my grandmother in

i totally get you on growing out of fandom, because I think I am too. And I've been a pretty good KakaSaku fan for several years, since before I started college! It's difficult for me to realize I'm parting with it, because I feel like it was a big part of who I am, and I'm sad to lose a common interest with the amazing community. The KakaSaku community is like a second home and the people are wonderful~ I'm so sad that I'm growing up!
But for the crossroads, I'll admit I'm still having an obsession with fictional characters, so the idea of a significant other is taking a backseat.

Well, I guess on the bright side, whatever friendships we made at the Kakasaku community will mostly likely last beyond that. :)
I think it's just because I see the same people all the time that it really highlights the fact I'm not dating anyone. But oddly enough, the new fandom I got into has been quite therapeutic. I may not be able to finish my main Kakasaku fic by summer's end, but I think I'm working my way to it. :)

i'm not even working on my fics. i think i'm giving it up now because i've been reading hardcore, and i simply don't have the time to write anymore. i'm trying to self-study in japanese and thai, even though i speak them well enough. just not as fluent as i would like to be. i also have to do sooo many things for moving to thailand. i don't have my student visa yet, and i'm supposed to leave in less than 3 months! why is the thai embassy so slow with my visa?!!! T.T anyway, reading is helping me calm down about the stressful things i have to worry about this summer.

And you're moving to Thailand? That's so cool! I've always wanted to go there. Unfortunately, I think my citrus allergy would hamper a lot of my enjoyment there should I ever go. And I didn't know you spoke Japanese. たくさん日本語が知っていますか。 (I really hope I got that right. I haven't spoken it in over a year and I'm dreadfully rusty now.)
I think all embassies are slow about these things, but I hope you get your visa soon, and I hope you have a lot of fun in Thailand. How long are you staying there?
And reading is nice. I just finished the Sandman comic series, including some of the bonus issues and I'm reading "The Lover's Dictionary" at the moment. It's a short read, but I highly recommend it. :)
