I found Lions for Lambs to be exceptional.
All the of the stories touched me, and it's truly inspiring.

I agree with you entirely on this issue. It seems that the ability to consider the dialogue in a movie these days is beyond the capacity of most audiences unless it's something, as you said, that is simply black and white. Society today is unable to take action out of fear of being declined by certain groups because of their beliefs. They feel they must "let well enough alone" and let others think for them rather than be the ones to take any initiative.

Exactly.
It really bothers me.
Except, in many ways, I'm worse than they are; I realize this, I can think for myself, yet I haven't taken in any action =/

PS
Did you see the paper today? They had an article about "redefining privacy". That bothers me a lot. They made a false analogy between warantless wiretapping and social networking sites. It brings to mind one of the Franklin quotes, I think it goes something like, Those who are willing to sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither and will lose both.

I know how you feel...

I didn't. That is pretty sad for them to commit such a fallacy, but also very common among journalists. That's a really good quote by Ben. Franklin which is, most troubling, true about our nation.
