looks like a great place to shoot a horror film.

Those were my thoughts about the place as well. Interestingly enough is that it's really a community spot, we met a lot of people who were walking their dogs and having a good time. It has the air of a place where people have been hanged though.

i definitely enjoy cemetaries in DAYTIME. i had a panic attack when some friends tried me to go exploring this very same cemetery at night, couple years back.

there are so many trees, it would be -so- dark at night. but early evening was a perfect time for being there. could be a perfect spot for a picnic, too.

Hmmm... I wonder what it would be like at night. I agree that it would be very dark. It's too bad people have done such nasty stuff to it that I'd be more worried about having some guard find us than some zombie.

Well, judging by your photos from Cypress and Oakland, my hopes are high on the photogentic side. I'm sorry to hear you found a tick... did you get lucky like me and catch it before it bit you?

as far as i know, yes. i only saw it fall off, i don't know where it came from. anyhow. enough of that.

i need to scan some more of the Colma cemetery photos- it's just that there are so many to edit out.
did you get my rather jumbled phone message re: dinner?

Yes, I did get your message. I'll have to call you when I get home this evening... things were really crazy today, so I didn't get much chance to do a lot of personal anything... those few responses above aside.

So yeah... ten minutes to go. =)

next time you guys come down to HMB (Charlie, too) dj_fraudulent August 17 2004, 19:22:56 UTC
there is a couple absolutely gorgeous cemetaries in the area. One of them is from the town of Pilarcitos, which is now completely gone. It was the first non-spanish or mexican town on the coastside and all that's left standing is the cemetary (sorta) and the old hotel. Awesome! (Ooh, and a side note... the town was founded by the guy that introduced waffles to America... YAY FOR WAFFLES!).
