My brother's surgery went very well. It was long, about 5 hours, but everything went just as the doctor expected it. They removed a huge mass from his abdomen - the doctor said that it was the size of a garbage can lid and about 7 inches thick! They removed a huge mass from his abdomen - the doctor said that it was the size of a garbage can lid and about 7 inches thick! Those are just rough estimates because we are still waiting for all the lab tests to come back. The doctor also said that he's never removed a mass that large before and that he couldn't lift it out by himself...he needed 2 people!!
Holy crap! That's wild, I'm glad they were able to get in there and get him cleaned out. Sounds like it went well, I'm glad to hear that.

Man, you never realize how out of shape you are until you spend a day with a 2 year old and a 1 year old.
Heh. A friend of mine once observed that her right arm tended to be much more muscular and defined than her left because she would tend to hold her young son on that particular hip all the time! I think God decides to to slow down adults and allow them to feel more aches just to make the playing field a little more level, and to teach us humility!
