Things that this is not likely to be:
- Something FF4-related
- Seiken Densetsu 4 (though we can still hope) ( Read more... )

In an imaginary dream world of unattainable happiness and nonstop bliss, this would be an ad for Final Fantasy Tactics 4.

Yes, this is true. But the artwork looks more FFTAish than FFTish. Dude's head is too round and he has a nose.

On the other hand, it does slightly resemble the FFXII concept art...

Don't get my hopes up.

Seiken Densetsu 4 already exists (the PS2 one), so it's definitely not that.

Until that dragon showed up, the first thing that popped into my head was Valkyrie Profile 4. Now, I'm not sure...but I like Shaede's idea.

I'm not sure COTP was officially VP3. You know they'll release VP: Hrist sooner or later, though.

I don't know, because VP2 was not numbered in Japan (it was just called VP: Silmeria). The 2 in the title was added to the US version. Still, even without an announcement, can't wait for Hrist.

Have you played Lenneth?

The fact that it wasn't numbered in Japan suggests that the next won't be, either. Also, it would be uncharacteristic for them to start work on another VP so soon after the last. They prefer to string their fans along.

I think this is going to be a new IP. None of the possible 4's make sense so it probably means something else.

The 8-bittish music, though? Still could be, I guess.

Crystal Chronicles was mentioned, but I haven't followed CC well enough to know if 4 even makes sense for that series.

Ya know FF1 had a bunch of 4's. 4 orbs, 4 heroes, 4 fiends. Maybe it has something to do with FF1?

It's got to be FFt4, and it will probably be as horrible as the Advance games.
